Using ChatGPT for Your Small Business’s Content Creation
Fine, okay, we’ll say it. ChatGPT and AI related products are pretty darn neat. Now is the time to adapt, to learn, and try new things in your marketing strategy and content creation.
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched on November 30, 2022. It is notable for enabling users to refine and steer a conversation towards a desired length, format, style, level of detail, and language used. It’s taking the internet by storm, and everyone is talking about it. What’s more, is that since November 2022, there have been rapid developments in the world of AI.
Our Number One Tip With ChatGPT
We will shout this from the rooftops, get out our megaphones, and go live on Instagram every day (okay, only if we have to) until you understand this very important aspect about ChatGPT.
OpenAI is not going to replace your role as a content creator. We look at this platform as a tool, to enable you to make content easier, and to simplify the process of brainstorming ideas.
When Madison and I went to the Social Pacific conference in March 2023, we heard from a representative from NP Digital on how AI is here to assist you, not to create content for you. Read more on our conference takeaways here.
Do not just copy and paste what ChatGPT gives you. Instead, use these answers to help inspire ideas, verify data, and get your creative wheels turning.
Why? Because Google knows
There is plenty of data showing that Google can actually tell which content has been written with AI.
“Google can also use machine learning algorithms to detect AI-generated text by looking at signals such as the text structure, grammar, and syntax in the text. In other words these algorithms can detect patterns in the text that are indicative of AI content.” Sourced from SEO.AI.
And ultimately, this will hurt your SEO rating and lower your chance being in the first page of a Google Search.
Are you thinking: “Yeah right, Hope. You’re just saying that.”
Hear me out. In Google’s own words: “Spammy automatically generated (or “auto-generated”) content is content that’s been generated programmatically without producing anything original or adding sufficient value; instead, it’s been generated for the primary purpose of manipulating search rankings and not helping users.”
