After the Magic Hour: How to Maximize the PR on Your Podcast Interview
Being a guest on The Magic Hour Podcast isn’t just another media hit. I’m confident your conversation with Hope was deep, authentic and impactful. Sharing that insight is a chance to bring your audience behind the scenes and share the why behind your work. Hope creates space for real, honest conversations that go deeper than the highlight reel and offer opportunities for connection.
The Magic Hour attracts a valuable audience full of entrepreneurs, creatives, business enthusiasts and trailblazers, people who are doing business differently and looking for aligned voices like yours to learn from, partner with, and cheer on.
Being featured on a podcast like The Magic Hour is amazing for credibility and visibility, so when your episode drops, don’t let it be a one-and-done post on your Insta story. Let’s make sure your interview works for you and keeps building momentum long after the mic is off.
Here are some thoughts for how to maximize the visibility of your podcast interview.
Share it again (and then again, and again)
Re-shared Hope’s story that mentions your interview and thought you’d finished marketing your episode? Think again!
Your audience is scrolling fast, and the algorithm isn’t always on your side. Plan to share your episode multiple times over the next few weeks across your platforms, each time with a slightly different angle.
- Day 1: “I was featured on a podcast with Hope!” Share something about the experience and include the link to listen. Tag Hope @hellounicornmarketing and the @itsthemagichourpodcast
- Week 1: Pull a quote from the episode and share it with the link. Use a photo of yourself or a quote graphic. Share your thoughts on the quote you made.
- Week 2: Talk about a key takeaway or story you told in the episode.
- Week 3: Share feedback or a DM someone sent you after listening.
- Week 4: Do a ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) post for anyone the algorithm skipped over and share a version of your original post.
Spacing it out keeps the momentum going and helps people who missed it the first time get another chance to tune in. You can repeat this formula again 2-3 months later, adding new commentary to quotes you made in the interview.
Turn your interview into micro-content
A single podcast episode can turn into a month’s worth of content (or more) if you break it down into bite-sized pieces.
Try repurposing it into:
- Quote graphics for Instagram or LinkedIn
- A short reel or video where you summarize your favorite part
- A carousel post with 3–5 tips you shared in the episode
- A blog post expanding on the topic (linking back to the episode)
- An email to your list letting them know what they’ll learn from listening
- At the bottom of another email to your newsletter list, sharing again ICYMI
Find a few moments in the interview you felt especially confident about and blow them up!
Add The Link to Your Website
Don’t let your podcast feature get buried in the feed. Everyone who visits your website should know you’re being featured in media.
Here’s where you can showcase it:
- Your Press or Media page (or create one if you don’t have one yet)
- Your About page, especially if you told your origin story in the interview
- Your Link in Bio tools (like Linktree or /links page) for ongoing exposure
- Your homepage, in a rotating banner or “As Seen On” section
- In your email signature. ‘Check out my conversation on The Magic Hour Podcast.’
Sharing your media hits not only boosts credibility, it tells potential clients and partners: “Hey, people trust me enough to put me on a mic. I’m an expert.”
Create an Audio Playlist of Your Podcast Interviews
If you’ve done more than one podcast appearance, or if you plan to, curate your episodes into a simple playlist on Spotify, YouTube, or a private page on your website.
This becomes a powerful content asset you can share with potential clients, collaborators, or press to show your expertise and how you show up in real conversations.
Even just 2–3 interviews is enough to show momentum.
Tag Hope and the Magic Hour Podcast
When sharing, always tag Hope @hellounicornmarketing and the @itsthemagichourpodcast. And give the conversation context. Don’t just say you were “on a podcast,” share how you connected with Hope, what the conversation was about, and why your audience should care.
Instead of:
“Had a great time chatting with Hope!”
Try:
“Hope and I dug into what PR actually looks like for small businesses and how to be media-ready without hiring a big PR firm. If you’ve ever felt unsure about putting yourself out there, give our conversation a listen and let me know what you think!.”
Ask for Feedback
Sharing your podcast interview isn’t just a promo opportunity, it’s a chance to deepen connection with your audience.
Use your episode to:
- Start a conversation in your Stories (“Did this resonate?” or “What’s your (fill in the blank) story?”)
- DM the link directly to family, clients, peers, or collaborators you think would be interested. Ask them for their feedback.
- Mention it in client onboarding or outreach (“I actually talked about this on Hope’s podcast if you want to hear more!”)
- Use it as proof of expertise in future pitch emails (“Here’s an interview where I dive into this topic!”)
Being featured once can open doors to more coverage, more conversations and more visibility.
Say Thank you!
Hope took the time to prep, interview you, edit, promote and to put you on her stage. A simple, heartfelt thank you (in both a public and private) goes a long way.
Not only is it good manners, it builds a stronger relationship. Podcast hosts remember guests who make their job easier and who share the episode enthusiastically. Those efforts can lead to referrals, collaborations, and future media invites.
Shout It Out
Being featured on The Magic Hour Podcast with Hope is the launchpad to content, conversations and visibility. The episode itself is just one piece of the puzzle. How you leverage it afterwards is where the visibility happens.
I know it was a great conversation. So shout it from the digital rooftops. Repurpose it. Re-share it. Use the conversation, the ideas shared and the connection made, to build momentum. Your efforts to share your episode will support your brand, engage your audience and help The Magic Hour grow, which leads more ears back to your episode. Podcast interviews are visibility gold.
